Kirkpatrick PlanetariumThe Kirkpatrick Planetarium is getting an upgrade! The planetarium will be closed for renovations beginning on Aug. 6 and will reopen in late September. The museum is open with regular hours during the renovation.
Science Museum Oklahoma will explore the science of summer camp during “Camp SMOnawanna: Salute Your Science” from 6:30-10 p.m. on Friday, June 22 for the second installment of SMO 21, an adults-only, after-hours event for ages 21 and up.
Beginning in May, Oklahoma Blood Institute and Science Museum Oklahoma have an exciting new adventure in store for donors who give blood to help patients in local hospitals: Donors who give blood at Oklahoma Blood Institute mobile drives and donor centers May 14 through Aug. 30 will receive free admission to SMO for one adult and one child as well as a limited edition “Let the Adventure Begin” t-shirt.*
Applications are now open for makers, artists, scientists and hobbyists to host a table at Science Museum Oklahoma’s 2018 Tinkerfest, set for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sept. 29 at the museum located at 2020 Remington Place in Oklahoma City.
