It’s Spring Break! Let’s light up the museum with everything we can find. If it glows, sparkles, or lights up, we’re there! If it flashes or glimmers – we’re on the case. Do you know a scorpion’s secret glowing power? Can we create a wearable, light up tech? Find answers to all these queries and more. Let’s explore what makes fireworks twinkle and what makes glow sticks, well, glow. We’ll visit JUMBLE in our smART Space gallery to experience the interactive art installation, pushing buttons to trigger video and sound.

Universe Rocks

Explorers, archeologists, astronauts, and scientists all know that searching for items of geological intrigue from the past and present can require a lot of digging. Rocks, whether terrestrial or extraterrestrial, can hold stories from the past. We can read these stories like a book if we know the experts’ secrets. Campers will investigate rover technology to scan the surface of Mars and view drone footage of a live volcano. Together we’ll discover everything we can find that’s under the surface of planets near and far.
